Canada Holds Latest French-Language Express Entry Draw — Francophone Immigration a Priority
According to the Government of Canada, candidates in the Express Entry pool are invited to apply for permanent residence through rounds held throughout the year, based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores. The latest round for French language proficiency issued 6,000 invitations, with a lowest CRS score of 399, and used August 24, 2025, as the tie-breaking date. Invitations can be general, program-specific, or category-based, depending on the economic goals or specific programs targeted. Candidates with a provincial or territorial nomination continue to receive invitations in both general and PNP-specific rounds.
