Korean Day Festival

The Korean Day Festival, held on August 9–10, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday), was a vibrant celebration of Korean culture, bringing together the community for two days of food, performances, and connection. Hinotori was proud to be there in support of other countries, sharing in the spirit of cultural exchange. During the event, we had the honor of meeting the General Counsel of the Republic of Korea based in Vancouver, as well as Anna Jun, one of the directors of the Calgary Korean Association and the Canada Korean Broadcasting Society, and a former Calgary Consular Assistant. A special highlight was the recognition of Anna Jun, who received the prestigious Foreign Minister Award for 10 years of dedicated service. The festival grounds buzzed with activity, featuring a variety of association booths, sponsor booths from real estate agencies, brokers, K-beauty brands, TD Bank, and more, along with interactive activity stations. Delicious aromas filled the air from Korean food trucks, while the stage came alive with captivating performances, including traditional dance, music, and an energetic Taekwondo demonstration. This event was a meaningful opportunity for Hinotori to support other countries and strengthen cultural connections within the community.
